A wide variety of vaccinations are available at SUHS including hepatitis A and B, measles-mumps-rubella, tetanus, polio, meningococcus A and B, HPV (Gardasil), and varicella. A campus-wide campaign is conducted each fall to encourage influenza vaccination.

Under guidelines established by New York State Public Health Law, Syracuse University policy requires that all students provide:

  • Proof of immunity to measles, mumps, and rubella.*
  • A completed response form related to meningococcal meningitis vaccine indicating that the student has either been immunized within the preceding five years or has opted not to obtain immunization against meningococcal disease.

*Note: The mandatory immunization requirement form (on the patient portal) MUST be completed and received by Health Services prior to your arrival on campus. If these documents are not received, students will risk strict administrative consequences including the inability to register for classes and/or suspension of ID card services.
